Having inherited the concept of PALMiCE series, PALMiCE3
realizes comfortable debug operation by speedup and improved space
factor by further compactification and provision for connection that
requires no power supply.
In the case of the model that supports Renesas Technologies-made
microcomputer, having been added with SH-Mobile also as a newly
supported CPU, not to mention the support for SH-2, SH-2A, SH-3,
SH3-DSP, SH-4, and SH-4A, 1 unit of SuperH Series serves as an ultra
versatile emulator that even supports SuperH and H8SX/H8S with
interchangeable optional softwares. As its main features, it
provides advanced multi-core
support taking advantage of technical strength of Computex,
newly implemented with traceback feature, transition display of
function, module measurement feature, simulated I/O, and Undo Trace
into feature, which are unique features supported for SH-2A/4A core
CPU, and fully demonstrates high performance with further enriched
OS (such as Linux, T-Kernel, μITRON by various manufacturers)
support.
Moreover, in the case of the model that supports ARM cores,
provision has been made for comfortable multi-core debugging and for
SWD(Serial Wire Debug) and SWV(Serial Wire Viewer) provided by ARM
CoreSight™ technology. With SWV support, besides being capable of variable and event
information referencing without break during execution, it allows
further improvement in debugging efficiency by capturing real-time
trace information.
NB: The
state of support provision for new features such as traceback
feature, transition display of function, module measurement
feature, simulated I/O, and Undo Trace into feature varies by
CPU; check it in the Product Summary.
